Leadership is a mixture of key character Traits and Skill sets. Up until relatively recently it was thought that our character Traits were “hard-wired” and therefore unchangeable, one either had them or not. We now know that very little about us, and our character in particular, is “hard-wired”. Most of it is learnt behaviour, and can be re-programmed or learnt afresh.

Once the requisite traits are in place then learning the requisite skill sets becomes much easier. They are a natural adjunct to the traits and make for a complete, holistic, congruent personality.

There are some physical attributes which research has shown give an advantage to leaders, and are common to some degree or other in many leaders throughout history. These attributes being: tall, slim males with a good head of hair and a deep voice.  However, all is not lost if you do not have all or any of these attributes, perception is often stronger than reality. A strong personality influences the way they are perceived physically in many cases making them seem to be taller, slimmer and more commanding. So by changing the character traits of the individual the physical perception of that person changes as well.

Our leadership training and coaching works to re-programme and develop the requisite leadership character traits and to teach the skill sets required to be come a top class leader.
