Leadership Skills
The core of leadership is creation and definition of an attainable
vision and imparting that as a strong sense of purpose to a collective
group. Managing the change of states required, to transform those
within the collective from their current state to that of an achievement
of the defined purpose, cohesively and effectively.
Leadership Qualities
passion: the courage to work outside the "Comfort Zone" and the
skills to instill that courage to others.
vision: the ability to create and define a future state of being
aligned with the ability to impart this vision to others.
integrity: utilising a strong core set of principles, natural wisdom
and beliefs based on cohesion not competition.
humility: a lack of ego-centred objectives, with ambition aimed
at the collective and not personal gain or self-promotion.
recognition: of the importance of relationships, objectively harnessing
people and their strengths rather than dividing them.
Leadership Pitfalls
The three major stumbling blocks of leadership:
inability: to define vision as leadership
is not foretelling the future, but creating the future.
motivation: of people to work outside of their 'comfort zone' and
take a leap of faith.
ego: a lapse into ego-centric thinking.
Leadership Feedback Loop
The Feedback Loop for leadership is more of an internal based reference
Internal to the individual, the leader and/or the leadership group.
Simply, it determines and compares the actual direction to the planned,
strategic direction.
